If you’re even remotely into retro gaming, you NEED to visit Retro Classics in Somerville. Walking into this store feels like stepping into a time machine — pure nostalgia everywhere you look. From classic games and consoles to vintage toys and iconic characters, the place is absolutely packed with amazing finds for gamers and collectors of all ages. What really made our experience unforgettable was the owner, Paul. He was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about gaming. He took the time to answer every question we had, shared tons of insight about the systems and games, and made sure we found exactly what we were looking for. You can tell he truly cares about the quality of everything he sells — every product is tested, restored, and fully functional. But beyond that, Paul treated our girls so kindly and made them feel special the entire time we were there. That level of customer service is rare these days, and it made the whole experience even more memorable. On top of everything, he gave us amazing deals and went above and beyond to make sure we left happy. Retro Classics isn’t just a store — it’s an experience. Easily one of the coolest shops we’ve ever visited, and we’ll absolutely be back. Highly, highly recommend!

I have been coming to this shop for many years. I just love this place. This store always has so many great games in stock for pretty much every system that was ever made! They're always in great condition and fairly priced. They even sell figures and collectibles and the people that work there are always so knowledgeable and cool to interact with. I always feel welcome here whenever I go. It's like a safe space for me. I really can't recommend this store enough.

This shop is the best retro game store in the state! MASSIVE supply of Saturn games and the owner genuinely cares. He made sure my disc was perfect before I took it home. Also, if you're looking for repro games, this place has it! Do yourself a favor and check them out. You wont be sorry!

my husband and i go to video game stores all over and are so glad this wasn’t too far from home. we will definitely be going back. they have an awesome collection of older systems and games. the “retro classics” name suits them well. the staff is very knowledgeable which is refreshing. they were kind, patient, and even chatted with our toddler which is also rare. he says thanks for the token. :)
